Alberto Costa recently visited British Gas’ business services contact centre at Grove Park. Alberto learnt about the British Gas sales apprenticeship scheme, and met with the first 11 apprentices employed to the new programme last October.
Alberto commented:
“I was very impressed with the energy and drive shown by the young apprentices. British Gas is helping these local apprentices to succeed by allowing them to learn about the energy industry whilst contributing to the sales team.”
Dean Ewart, the Business Markets Director for British Gas, said:
“We were pleased to welcome Alberto to meet our talented apprentices. We have already employed hundreds of engineering apprentices in Leicester. This new scheme shows our commitment to Leicester, as a major employer, and to provide quality service to customers.”
Alberto concluded:
“This apprenticeship scheme demonstrates the importance of UK companies in investing in our local young people. I would strongly encourage more companies to consider taking on apprentices who can contribute to the future wellbeing of a company.”
