South Leicestershire MP, Alberto Costa, has launched a competition for young people in his constituency to design a card to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.
Mr Costa has launched the competition by writing to local primary schools in his constituency as well as advertising the competition on his Facebook and Twitter pages by asking children of primary school age from across South Leicestershire to design a card celebrating King Charles III’s Coronation with the winning entry being sent to the King.
Entries must be A4 in size, portrait, and can be submitted by post or by taking a picture or scan of your card design and sending it to [email protected] with your name, age and full address – the deadline for submitting entries is 17:00 on Friday 21st April. Postal entries should be sent to Office of Alberto Costa MP, Unit 3, 8a Lutterworth Road, Blaby, Leicestershire, LE8 4DN.
Alberto said, “I’m looking forward to celebrating the Kings Coronation in a few weeks and thought it would be nice to get some of the brilliant, young budding artists in South Leicestershire involved in designing some fantastic cards to celebrate a truly momentous day in British history. The Kings Coronation marks a special occasion which many in the local area will be celebrating. I’m sure it’ll be very tricky to pick a winning entry, but I really look forward to seeing some fantastic card designs week”.
