South Leicestershire MP, Alberto Costa, has shared the winning entry of his Annual Community Christmas Card Competition with the Prime Minister.
Alberto recently met with the Prime Minister, The Rt. Hon Rishi Sunak MP, and shared the winning entry of his Christmas Card Competition designed by 9 year old Ellie Wood, a pupil at Blaby Stokes Primary School.
Ellie’s design of an ‘Elf on the Shelf’ was crowned the winner of the MP’s Christmas Card Competition this year with Florence Greenhalgh of Swinford CofE Primary School being awarded second place, and Eloise Hibbert of Sharnford CofE Primary School awarded third place.
A number of schools from across South Leicestershire entered the MP’s Christmas Card Competition this year, with all entrants receiving a special House of Commons certificate and a letter of thanks from Alberto.
Alberto said, “I was delighted to recently meet with the Prime Minister in order to show him Ellie’s fantastic festive design which was awarded as the winner of my Christmas Card Competition this year. The Prime Minister was very impressed by Ellie’s design, and those of Florence and Eloise, this year’s runners up, and he was very complimentary about the creative talent of South Leicestershire’s young people who have once again outdone themselves with their Christmas designs this year.
I would really like to sincerely thank again all those young constituents who took the time to create a design for my competition this year, and of course to all the schools across South Leicestershire who took part too”
