Alberto Costa, Member of Parliament for South Leicestershire, attended a Business Breakfast event organised by the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce on Friday morning to meet with businesspeople from across Leicestershire and the East Midlands.
The Business Breakfast, held at RSM at Grove Park in Enderby, was organised to bring together MPs and local businesspeople for an engaging informal discussion about issues affecting small and large businesses on both a local and national scale.
Alberto said, “I was delighted to return to speak at the East Midlands Business Breakfast on Friday morning. These events are a tremendous way of bringing together businesspeople and others from across the region for an informal, engaging discussion about business in the East Midlands and as such, I would really encourage local businesses to keep an eye out for similar events in the future”.
Chris Hobson, Director of Policy & External Affairs at the East Midlands Chamber added, “Chamber-members always value the opportunity to raise issues and observations with Westminster, so that day-to-day aspects are taken into consideration at a time when the Government is understandably preoccupied with the implications of Brexit. For this reason, we’re pleased that Alberto Costa MP has once again agreed to sit down with firms based in his South Leicestershire constituency so that – with ourselves – he can accurately reflect the voice and aspirations of local business where key decisions are to be made”.
Alberto concluded, “Businesses truly are the backbone to our local and national economy and of course I am always keen to engage with local businesses, to listen to their thoughts and views and to take these forward with the Government. It was a real pleasure to meet so many businesspeople from across the East Midlands, and I hope those in attendance found the event as beneficial and informative as I did”.
