South Leicestershire MP, Alberto Costa, recently visited the award-winning Christmas Tree Farm, Oakberry Trees, near Dunton Bassett to meet with the business owners and see this year’s new crop of Christmas trees.
Family owned Oakberry Trees have been selling their Christmas Trees since 1998, and grow thousands on Oakberry farm every year – previously, the tree seller had won a national competition to have one of their Christmas Trees displayed at Number 10 Downing Street.
Alberto said, “It’s always a pleasure to visit the fantastic Oakberry Trees to meet with Richard and Gail and to see the excellent crop of new Christmas trees as we head into the busy festive period. Oakberry Trees are wonderful South Leicestershire institution and it’s been brilliant to see the business continue to go from strength to strength as constituents, and many others from far and wide, come to get some of the country’s best quality Christmas trees".
Alberto added, “I am so proud to have such a thriving, independent, family-run business here in South Leicestershire. I would like to thank Richard and Gail for all of their hard work throughout the year, and should like to wish all at Oakberry Trees the very best of the new Year and another successful, busy year in Dunton Bassett”.
