On Friday 18th March, Alberto Costa MP visited Elmhurst Energy in his constituency of South Leicestershire to meet with senior staff and to tour their office in Lutterworth.
Elmhurst Energy, who have offices in both South Leicestershire and Scotland, were established in 1993 and are providers of training for Energy Assessors through their provision of training, software and accreditations.
Alberto Costa said, “It was a pleasure to visit Elmhurst Energy earlier today. Energy Assessors provide a vital service to people nationwide by helping them to make their homes as energy efficient as possible and helping them to save money as a result”.
Managing Director of Elmhurst Energy, Stephen O’Hara added: “We welcome Alberto to Elmhurst Energy, as a national business and local employer based in his constituency, we value the support he can give us to further promote energy efficiency in particular the use of Energy Performance Certificates as the Government’s benchmark tool of choice. Energy efficiency is good for all householders, business and Government, however in the turbulent times we live in we must continuously push this message home.”
Mr Costa concluded, “I fully support the Government’s commitment to the Climate Change Act which requires an 80% in carbon emissions by 2050, and organisations such as Elmhurst Energy are doing brilliantly well in training Energy Assessors which will help the nation to hit this target.”
