On Friday 15th April, Member of Parliament for South Leicestershire, Alberto Costa visited Red Hill Field Primary School in Narborough to meet with staff and pupils.
Alberto met with Red Hill's Field Headteacher, Mr Steve Snelson, who introduced him to senior staff members and a group of pupils who had previously met Alberto during their visit to Parliament and the Education Unit earlier in the year. Alberto then addressed an entire school assembly and took questions from pupils and teachers.
Alberto said, "It was a real pleasure to visit Red Hill Field to speak to staff and to see so many familiar faces as I had already met a number of pupils during their earlier visit to the Palace of Westminster".
Headteacher, Steve Snelson, said "Red Hill Field Primary School was very pleased to receive a visit from local MP Alberto Costa. This has been an excellent opportunity to explain to Mr Costa how we at Red Hill Field are responding to the national agenda and to discuss the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead".
Alberto concluded, "I was very impressed by the enthusiasm and knowledge many of the pupils showed today in their inquisitive questions and I am very thankful to Steve for his kind invitation to visit Red Hill Field and I hope to see another group of pupils from Red Hill Field down at Parliament again very soon".
