On Wednesday 15th June, Alberto Costa, MP for South Leicestershire, met with pupils from the Brooke House School, during their visit to the Houses of Parliament.
During their visit, pupils visited the debate chambers within both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, where they were able to listen to the debates concerning the business of the day.
The group also joined Mr Costa on the famous Parliamentary terrace, where they were able to learn more about the workings of parliament and also take a group photo with the famous London Eye in the background.
Mr Costa said “I was delighted to meet the pupils from Brooke House during their visit to parliament. They appeared to very much enjoy their trip, particularly being able to hear debates in both Chambers and seeing first-hand the difference in role and function between the Commons and the Lords.”
