On Friday 8th January, Conservative MP, Alberto Costa, lead a discussion on the Human Rights Act at the Narborough Civic Centre in his constituency of South Leicestershire.
Afterwards Mr Costa and Mr Neil Bannister, the Conservative Police Crime Commissioner candidate for Leicestershire, spoke about Neil’s own background in law and how his previous experience relates to the Human Rights Act.
Alberto said, “It was very good to see such a high turnout for this evening’s discussion, and as always, it was very good to hear about Neil’s experience and how it relates to the interesting subject of the Human Rights Act. Neil’s excellent legal experience makes him a prime candidate for the PCC role”.
