The Prime Minister, Rt Hon David Cameron MP, joined local MP for South Leicestershire, Alberto Costa, in paying tribute to the work of Blaby District Council.
During Prime Ministers Questions on the 24th February 2016, David Cameron and Alberto Costa praised results of a recent survey, demonstrating 96% satisfaction with services delivered by Blaby District Council, following responses from over 1,100 local residents.
Mr Costa said “this is a fantastic achievement by all at Blaby District Council and I’m pleased to hear the Prime Minister join me in congratulating the Leader, the Councillors and all Officers. They work incredibly hard for the residents of Blaby throughout the year and this is something I, along with the residents, very much appreciate.”
Terry Richardson, leader of Blaby District council, said “we are pleased to see that the excellent quality of service we provide has been acknowledged by the Prime Minister and our local MP, Alberto Costa. We have a strong and positive relationship with Alberto, as seen by his recent efforts to secure fairer funding for the wider Leicestershire area and thank him for his ongoing support.”
Mr Costa concluded “I’d like to go on record as thanking Terry Richardson and everyone else at Blaby for all that they do and look forward to continued joint working to ensure we deliver first class services for all residents”.
