On Friday 29th April, Alberto Costa MP visited Brooke House School, Cosby in his constituency of South Leicestershire to meet with senior staff and pupils.
Alberto met with Head Teacher, Paul Jackson, before speaking to the school's Current Affairs and Politics class about the upcoming EU Referendum and the advantages and disadvantages of both leaving and staying within the EU.
Alberto said, "I really enjoyed returning to Brooke House School this afternoon and I'm thankful to Paul for his kind invitation to speak to the hardworking pupils currently studying for their GCSEs and A-levels".
Head Teacher, Mr Paul Jackson, said "Alberto had previously visited our school prior to the General Election last year and so we are very pleased to welcome him back to Brooke House as our Member of Parliament. We’re grateful for Alberto for taking the time to visit and speak to senior pupils from our Politics and Current Affairs classes who relished the opportunity to quiz him on the EU Referendum and his time in Parliament".
Alberto concluded, "I was very impressed by the pupils enthusiasm and their insightful questions during our EU discussion, it is always very pleasing to see such a fervent interest in politics from young people. I would like to thank those pupils in attendance for their time and I look forward to my next visit to Brooke House".
