On Friday 5th February 2016, Conservative Member of Parliament for South Leicestershire, Alberto Costa visited the Sir Frank Whittle Studio School in Lutterworth.
Mr Costa met with the Studio School’s Head Teacher, Mr Paul Hostead, and the Executive Principal, Ms Judith Briers, to discuss the newly opened school’s facilities and its plans for the future and was then given a tour around the new facilities and spoke to teachers and pupils.
Paul Hostead, Head of Sir Frank Whittle Studio School commented, “We were delighted to welcome Alberto to the Sir Frank Whittle Studio School and give him a tour of our brand new building. Alberto met with staff and students as was able to visit lessons and see students studying English Literature and Engineering Mathematics. Students also explained the Enterprise Projects they were working on in preparation for a “Dragons Den” session Year 13 business students are running for Year 10 Students”.
Alberto was also interested to hear of the development of Sir Frank Whittle Studio School and discussed the success’ and challenges faced by a new school.
