On Tuesday 2nd February, Alberto Costa, MP for South Leicestershire, spoke in Parliament in support of the Government’s Enterprise Bill.
The Bill contained a number of measures to support and encourage business formation and growth across the country. Measures varied from regulatory frameworks to the role of a Small Business Commissioner to support small businesses with issues such as late payments and supply chain disputes.
Mr Costa said “The content of the bill is very welcome and I was pleased to speak in favour of it. I regularly hear from businesses of all sizes in my constituency about the issues they face and the support they would like from the Government to help resolve these problems.
I believe measures within the bill such as the Small Business Commissioner will support businesses with the issues they face and enable them to continue to grow and expand. South Leicestershire is a fantastic place for any business to set up and grow and this growth will be further supported by this Bill”.
