South Leicestershire MP, Alberto Costa, welcomed a group of apprentices from the Everards Brewery in his constituency to the Houses of Parliament to coincide with National Apprenticeship Week.
National Apprenticeship Week 2019, which launched on Monday (4th), aims to bring together employers and apprentices from across England to showcase the success of apprenticeships whilst also encouraging more people to choose apprenticeships as a pathway to a career.
Alberto said, “It was a real pleasure to welcome a group of apprentices from the brilliant Everards brewery to Parliament earlier this week. National Apprenticeship Week is an excellent initiative to encourage more young people to take a different route towards a successful career, with a huge variety of different roles available, apprenticeships allow young people to learn important skills and qualifications while earning a good wage”.
Alberto concluded, “I am very proud that Everards call South Leicestershire home and it’s great to see them offering these exciting opportunities to young people across the county. I would really encourage businesses across Leicestershire to consider taking on more apprentices, to help young people grow in a professional capacity and to really help their own businesses flourish”.
