South Leicestershire MP, Alberto Costa, joined parents, carers, teachers and pupils for the final performance of an acclaimed play by the Year 6 class of Hallbrook Primary School in Broughton Astley on the penultimate day of term before the pupils leave for secondary school.
Alberto attended the final performance of ‘The Pirates of the Coffee Jelly Bean’ after welcoming the Year 6 class to the Houses of Parliament last month.
Alberto said, ‘After hosting the brilliant Year 6 class from Hallbrook Primary in Westminster last month, I was delighted to be invited to their final swansong before going up to secondary school, the final performance of their brilliant play, ‘The Pirates of the Coffee Jelly Bean’. It was a huge pleasure to see so many talented pupils taking to the stage in front of their parents/carers and putting on a brilliant show to end their time at primary school”.
Alberto added, “I am immensely grateful to the Years 6 and their teacher, Ms Nagorski, at Hallbrook for taking the time to visit me in Parliament last month, and it was pleasure to take them up on their kind invitation to visit them in Broughton Astley. I would like to wish the Year 6 class the very best of luck in their secondary education and do very much hope to see some pupils ‘treading the boards’ of the West End in years to come”.
