Alberto Costa, Member of Parliament for South Leicestershire, recently welcomed pupils from Millfield LEAD Academy, of Braunstone Town, to Parliament.
The visiting pupils from Years 3 to 6, visited Westminster recently and received a tour of the Houses of Parliament, before joining workshops in the Parliament Education Unit. Alberto then met the pupils to talk to them about the importance of democracy and to take part in a question and answer session.
Alberto said, "I was really delighted to welcome the pupils from Millfield LEAD Academy to Parliament recently. One of the very best parts of my job as MP is to speak to young people across South Leicestershire, about my role as their MP, and the importance of our Parliamentary democracy.
I do very much hope the visiting pupils from Millfield enjoyed their visit, and I was really grateful to them for taking the time to visit Westminster and for asking such insightful questions during our question and answer session".
