Alberto has crowned a winner of his 2023 Christmas Card Competition. Alberto Costa and County Councillor Neil Bannister recently visited Hallbrook Primary School to congratulate nine-year-old Isabel whose vibrant reindeer design took the top spot in the competition.
Isabel's design, inspired by artist Romero Britto, won Alberto Costa's card competition this year with special commendations going to the runners-up: 10-year-old Tamira from Millfield LEAD Academy and Ida from Swinford Primary School.
Alberto said: "Congratulations to Isabel on her winning design. We had lots of impressive entries from primary schools in the constituency, but Isabel's was truly eye-catching and unique."
"I was delighted to present Isabel with a special prize to congratulate her on her fantastic festive design, which was a very deserved winner of my Christmas Card competition this year. I would also like to thank both Tamira and Ida for their excellent designs, and of course all those pupils from across South Leicestershire who entered."
"I am impressed each year with the creativity and artistic talent in South Leicestershire and am very grateful to every young person who took part this year and showcased their impressive artistic abilities."
"My sincere thanks too to our excellent sponsors this year, Jenno's Coffee House and Oakberry Trees, two fantastic local businesses, who were very kind in sponsoring my competition. Running and organising my Christmas Card Competition is without a doubt one of the highlights of the year, and I am hugely grateful to all the local schools that took part."
