Member of Parliament for South Leicestershire, Alberto Costa, recently visited Greystoke Primary School to present Noah Cooper with a special prize for being awarded the winner of the MP's Annual Community Christmas Card Competition.
Noah’s design was crowned the winner of the MP’s Christmas Card Competition this year with Mia Ward from Glen Hills Primary School awarded first runner-up, Esme Baughan from Swinford Primary School the second runner-up, and Isaac Varney from Enderby Danemill Primary School awarded third runner-up.
A number of schools from across South Leicestershire entered the MP’s Christmas Card Competition this year, with all entrants receiving a special House of Commons certificate and a letter of thanks from Alberto.
Alberto said, "I was delighted to visit Greystoke Primary School to present Noah, who loves art and design, with a special prize to congratulate him on his fantastic festive design, which was a very deserved winner of my Christmas Card competition this year. Well done Noah!
“I’ve given the Christmas card out to colleagues, constituents, and even the House of Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle and have already received many compliments on the design.
“I would also like to thank some of the fantastic runners up, particularly Mia, Esme and Isaac for their stand-out designs, and of course all those pupils from across South Leicestershire who entered.
“My sincere thanks too to our excellent sponsors this year, Jenno’s Coffee House and Oakberry Trees, who were very kind in once again sponsoring my competition. Running and organising my Christmas Card Competition is without a doubt one of the highlights of the year, and I am hugely grateful to all the local schools that took part, and I am already looking forward to next year!".
